The Lay Healer is able to create a healing salve to heal the wounds of the target. Depending on rank, the healer may choose between Cure Light Wounds, Cure Serious Wounds, Cure Critical Wounds and Heal. See the appropriate cleric spells of the same name to determine the amount healed at each level. If the Lay Healer is higher than rank 10, and thus capable of using this spell for more than a Cure Light Wounds, he must declare what level of healing he wishes to achieve with this spell. This declaration must be made prior to rolling the cast chance for the spell. The cast chance is modified as indicated below for the level of healing desired. Each time this spell is cast, the Lay Healer uses some of their healing ingredients, which must be tracked. See the Conjure Healing Ingredients ritual for more information about healing ingredients and how they can be acquired. Note that the ingredients are used up even if the casting fails.
