Combat Turn:
Subject:The Legion Jet
A year has passed since VIPER attempted the disruption on the waterfront. They have kept a low profile since then. The team has still been busy with other emergencies but nothing of significance.

During this down time, The Legion has provided the team with a well-outfitted headquarters as well as a jet. Over the past year, the team has been learning how to operate and repair the jet. The jet can easily seat the team of 5 and has room for up to 10 more people. It is a bit wider than a Leer jet. It also has a standard array of sensors although, at this time, it is unarmed.

GM: Everyone can have 4 EXP to spend to become proficient in using and repairing the jet. The points can be spent on any of the following:
  • Combat Pilot
  • Computer Programming
  • Electronics
  • Mechanics
  • Navigation
  • Systems Operation
  • Transport Familiarity: Planes

GM: Let me know how you want to spend the 4 EXP. At least 1 person should spend 3 points on Combat Pilot (which gives them a free transport familiarity). There should be at least 2 people who know how to fly the jet so someone else should probably take Transport Familiarity with Planes. You should probably coordinate who will take what skills to provide maximum coverage.

GREEN KNIGHT: Green Knight would like to spend 3 points on Mechanics and 1 point on familiarity with Electronics. Let me know if someone else would rather be the mechanic.

IRON DUKE: Iron Duke is a gearhead, so I see him as interested in Transport Familiarity, but Combat Pilot seems like a stretch. With his background in security systems, Electronics is a great fit. Let's do 3 points in Electronics, 1 point Transport Familiarity, Planes.

VIOLET DUCHESS: Violet Duchess is not really inclined toward any of these areas. If there was anything to do with communications that would be her first choice. Essentially she could be back-up for whatever others don't want to do. Her stats will make her weak in anything she tries to do as well.

WHITE LADY: White Lady is already a combat driver (motorcycle), so learning combat piloting is likely easier for her than most. Navigation fits her personality best. So I'll go with Combat Piloting with a familiarity in Navigation.

INDIGO BARON: IB is also a non-techie – out of uniform, he’s a surgeon turned writer. I can’t see him in any of these roles, though if he had to pick it would be 3 points in Navigation and a 1 point Transport Familiarity with Planes.

SILVER CHANCELLOR: "Good. It's settled then. White Lady, you will be the primary pilot (Combat Piloting) with Indigo Baron and Iron Duke as your backups (Transport Familiarity: Planes). Green Knight, you will be the primary, and only, mechanic. Iron Duke, you will be the electronics technician with Green Knight as your backup. Indigo Baron, you will be the only navigator. Violet Duchess, I suggest you take the role of Systems Operations as it involves sensors and communications equipment. That means that you won't have a computer technician at this time but we can work on that later."

GM: Go ahead and spend the 4 points. If you haven't already spent your last EXP, you can spend that as well. You should have a total of 10 EXP from the previous 2 adventures, plus the 4 for learning how to operate the jet.

GM: My preference is to see real point vs active point character multiple not to exceed about 1.15 (1.2 at the most). When it gets higher, and your limitations come into play, then the character ends up being ineffective which can be pretty boring especially if you have a single limitation affecting a broad swath of your powers. Right now, most characters are well within the window. Green Knight and Iron Duke are both at 1.02, White Lady is as 1.08 and Violet Duchess is right on the line at 1.15, which I think is fine. Indigo Baron is the only one over and he is at 1.26. My suggestion would be to use some of your EXP to unlink some of your linked stats like DEX or CON. Or maybe keep them linked but reduce the full power requirement. Limitations will ALWAYS come into play at some point and I'd hate to see someone sidelined because of it.

GM: I will send the next turn later today. Unlike previous scenarios, we will not be starting with combat. There will be some role-playing ahead of time. However, you will get into combat soon enough.
