At the end of turn 1, phase 2, two Shadows fly out of the darkness, through the Force Wall and stop directly in front of Jack and Dasan. It is now turn 1, phase 3, let me know what you want to do.

MARCO (Mindlink): {Should I try to contact them, or attack?}

DASAN (Mindlink): {Talking is always better than fighting, but don't expect a warm response}

DEX
Ianna
33
IANNA: Ianna will hold her action and stick with the group as it moves forward.

IANNA: {Marco, be careful with mental contact. If they can sap one's strength by touching you, it might also affect your mind.}
Isobella
33
ISOBELLA: Isobella continues working her way forward, doing her best to dodge any shadows that come here way.
Curt
26
Tal
23
TAL: Since the force wall is ineffective, Tal will attempt to grab the closer Shadow with his Telekinesis.

TAL: Grab [rolled 11]
Jack
20
JACK: As planned, Jack pumps himself up and attempts to clobber the shadow with a powerful sacrifice strike, hoping to act as a deterrent to continued attacks or even knock it off the platform into the red mist. He will try to hit it from his right to force it left toward the nearest edge.

TECH: Sacrifice Strike with 90 Str (pushed), OCV 9 including maneuver bonus and skill level, DCV 5, 36 END spent. [rolled 8] to hit, [rolled 2 4 4 2 1 1 3 4 6 3 1 3 6 5 2 3 6 1 2 4 3 6 - Total: 72, Body: 22] normal damage, [rolled 11] knockback.

BODY: 12, STUN: 47/47, END: 40/76
Dasan
20
DASAN(GM): this may be early for me to send it but I may not be on much Fri.

DASAN(tech): It looks like one of the shadows is on Dasan. If it attacks him this is his forcefield activation roll [rolled 7] needs a 14- or less and it applies 11rED/11rPD . If he gets a chance to fire after his movement with the group this is it -Shock pulse, quick shot OCV 13 DCV 7 [rolled 13] if hit damage [rolled 6 4 1 1 5 1 5 6 3 4 5 3 6 2 - Total: 52, Body: 14] stun only, costs 6 end.
Shooter
20
SHOOTER: With no Shadows coming near him, Shooter holds his fire and continues to scan.
Marco
23 or 18
Hold action.
SHADOW
24
Attacking Jack, OCV 10 vs DCV 5, needs 16 or less [rolled 12], [rolled 5 5 (2) - Total: 12, Body: 2] BODY Drain, [rolled 3 6 (2) - Total: 11, Body: 3] STR Drain

Attacking Dasan, OCV 10 vs DCV 7, needs 14 or less [rolled 5], [rolled 6 1 (3) - Total: 10, Body: 2] BODY Drain, [rolled 5 2 (2) - Total: 9, Body: 2] STR Drain

On Phase 3, Dex 24, the Shadows attack!

Jack feels the chilling touch of a Shadow and is weakened.

Dasan feels the chilling touch of a Shadow and is weakened.

GM: Jack is drained 12 BODY points and 11 STR points, resulting in the loss of 6 BODY and 11 STR.

GM: Dasan is drained 10 BODY points and 9 STR points, resulting in the loss of 5 BODY and 9 STR. Dasan finds himself barely able to hold up his weapon arm to attack.

On Phase 3, Dex 23, Tal uses his telekinesis to attempt to grab the shadowy form in front of Dasan. He succeeds in capturing it.

GM: Tal can automatically do STR damage if he so desires. Roll 8.5d6 for damage.

On Dex 20, Jack puts everything he has into a massive punch on the Shadowy creature in front of him. He hits but it is like hitting a down pillow. Jack's fist sinks deep into the creature but much of it's force is robbed by the consistency of the creature. Nevertheless, the fact that he felt some resistance indicates that they are not entirely incorporeal. Unfortunately, the very act of touching the creature has a negative impact on Jack. The same chilling touch that affected Isobella just seconds earlier, also affects Jack.

GM: Jack is drained of 9 CON points, resulting in the loss of 4 CON.

Also on Dex 20, Dasan forces his weakened body to lift his weapon arm and fires as the creature in front of him. The creature is held in Tal's telekinetic grip so hitting is easy. He is not certain exactly what effect he has, but he can see that there is some disruption in the Shadow. Unlike the previous one, however, this one does not freeze in place.

GM: I need a damage roll from Tal.

TAL: Damage Roll for STR: [rolled 5 3 6 6 1 4 3 5 (3) - Total: 36, Body: 9]

GM: Go ahead and send me your actions for phases 4-5.

GM: Let me know what actions, if any, you want Shooter to take.

JACK: {Okay, that wasn't worth it. I can't connect solidly enough to make it count. I think I hurt it some, but if it didn't go flying backward my impact is obviously very diffused. I'm not happy with that attack of theirs either, it's not the same as the nausea from hitting them. It's more than that, it's weakness and I think I even felt some of my lifeforce being drained. Avoid that attack. Did you actually manage to hold onto that one, Tal? If so that might be a way to make my hit count more. I don't suppose it makes it more solid... Another option would be to try to slam the one you have grabbed into the other one, if their bodies are partially out of phase or something maybe they can affect each other fully.}

JACK (GM): I assume no knockback at all since you didn't describe any? Damage reduction doesn't reduce knockback, so they must have quite a bit of knockback resistance, especially if they're flying :( I forgot to reduce the KB roll by -1d6 for flying, but I guess I shouldn't assume they were since they stopped in front of us to attack.

GM: It did not going flying backwards at all.

DASAN(GM/Tech): Was Dasan's Force field even activated by the attack, ie was there a drain on the battery or a flicker of the field when the attack happened?

GM: No, the force field did not activate.

DASAN(GM): Follow on question. Did Dasan recognize the form of the attack? Was it a shadowy claw, black icky tendril or a light shower of rose petals?

GM: It was a shadowy tendril that reached out and touched Dasan through his force field and armor.
