Jack receives the encryption code from Serene as usual at the end of February and, also as usual, those in the mining pod get advance notice of when the call will happen. Thus, everyone can be there for this if they wish.
JACK: "Veronica this is Jack, are you there?"
VAMPERINA: "Yep, we're here. We had a great month, mining about 26,000 kg of ore, which should net us Cr14,000. We definitely plan to stay up here for a few more months. Did you talk to Serene about continuing communication?"
The conversation progresses normally with both Vamperina and Jack giving the code words indicating that everything is okay on there end. Jack says that the monthly communications will continue after he worked out a deal with Serene.
