Bodyguard - A local mob boss by the name of Greg Callitori is looking for people to act as bodyguards for visiting "dignitaries".
Circle City is not a large city but it is strategically important for trade purposes as a good deal of trade between the empire and Zhodane clears customs here. Some of that trade is illegal.
Many of the visitors are here on business that is shady, to say the least. Others hire bodyguards from Mr. Callitori simply because they have a lot of enemies. Thus, the bodyguard business is mostly legitimate, at least when the new hires first start. Initially they will only be sent as bodyguards for people that are not here on mob business. Later, once they prove themselves trustworthy and capable, they might also be called upon to tag along on mob business.
The job can be dangerous. Most of the people who want bodyguards really need them. They have enemies who want to harm or kill them. Others are here on illegal business that might get them, and their bodyguards, in trouble with the law.
If given the job, Mr. Callitori will also give each new hire a credit card worth Cr2,000 to get good clothes and visit a stylist and spa to clean up. His bodyguards have to look like they fit in at high class functions. This money is an advance on their pay. He will also ask if they want any sort of firearm and, if so, will provide it as well as a permit to use and carry it in the performance of their job. That too will come out of their pay. |
