Zardra stays close to the front as the team moves on. They climb to the top of the wall to survey the red mists in the sunken room. The floor cannot be seen through the roiling mist though the rocky tube in the far corner can be seen rising out of the room and connecting to the next level of the ship floating a 100 meters overhead. There is no indication that there is a passage inside the tube but Zardra assures the group that there is one. The entrance is within the red mists and thus, unseen from the team's present vantage point. Before progressing, the group does some experimentation using Force Walls, in the shape of bubbles, to keep out the mists. Shooter's force bubble keeps the mist entirely at bay.

GM: The force bubble must provide life support to be effective against the mist. Without the life support, the mist is able to enter.

Shooter puts up a force bubble that everyone is able to fit inside and the group climbs down into the mist. They find the floor two meters into the mist. The team moves slowly across the floor of the sunken chamber. Vision is vastly diminished but not the equivalent of total darkness. The mist is not of uniform thickness and clouds of it float by, occasionally revealing move of the chamber. It appears to be completely empty as the group moves across towards the rocky tube. Eventually they see the entrance to the tube ahead. The team takes precautions in case the tube is guarded (Zardra says that it was not guarded when she came this way a short time ago) but it is not.

The tube is not lit but the team's light sources provide adequate illumination. They are in a crawltube. There are handholds built into the walls of the tube but they are not ideally situated for human use. Nevertheless, for a group as athletically adept as the adventurers, they prove to be no challenge. The team crawls out of the mists and up to Platform Two.

The crawltube exits into a cavernous, hilly area. The "hills" are acutally huge, translucent pods, some up to 30 meters in diameter. The smallest is still greater than 15 meters. Dark shapes can be seen within them. A short distance away, the team sees a pod that is split open, but there is nothing inside it.

Before investigating the chamber more carefully, the team does a quick sweep of the entire chamber. The two narrows ends of the chamber end at the edges of the platform with a drop off of 100 meters to the platform below, or even further if the one who happened to be dropping missed the platform and continued down into the red mists at the base of the hollow interior of this ship.

The two long edges end in walls that appears to be made of natural stone. On the other side of the wall on the outward side are raised, circular platforms. On top of each platform is a dome similar to the ones in this room. On the other side of the wall on the inward side are a few chambers, the largest of which looks like a strange mixture of biology, engineering and stonecrafting.

GM: Let me know what the group wants to do in this chamber.

ISOBELLA (OOC): Isobella is wearing a Vacc suit she can seal. The life support needs more work, but she can run off of internal air for a few hours, allowing her to check on things outside the bubble.

ISOBELLA: "I think we may have found the nursery. I'm surprised that there are no guards."

IANNA: "Yeah, I would agree with that. Perhaps The Duke's interference has pulled them back. It seems doubtful we'll find any parts here but we may as well check those chambers as you never know. Zardra, did you spend much time here before? Did you encounter any Charons here?"

ZARDRA: "I came through here but didn't stop to look at anything."

The team begins to carefully investigate one of the pods. They start with an open one. Fully opened, it resembles a circular, donut-shaped, membrane on the floor of the cavern. When they investigate a closed dome, they wonder if it really is a nursery or something different. The more technical members of the group experiment a bit and find a 20 cm slit that they can push their hand through. They can't see through the slit but they can feel some controls of some sort. Fiddling with the controls results in the dome spliting apart at the top and collapsing to either side. The result is similar to the open one seen before except that inside the circle is what appears to be a small, one man spaceship - perhaps a fighter spacecraft.

GM: The "domes" appear to be tents. To open one, you stick your hand into the control slit and pull a lever. The tent splits down the center and collapses to the right and left into a donut shape, revealing the small spaceship.

As the group is looking over the alien ship, Isobella sees movement from the north side of the platform. Suddenly, four charons leap into the room and begin attacking with ranged energy attacks. These charons look even more alien than most that the group has seen until they realize that the bug-like creatures are wearing some sort of energized body armor.

IANNA (GM): One more question, can we see and shoot over the pods? The description didn't make their height clear. Can we stand on or run over them? I'm guessing so but I'm curious how solid they are and if they can support much weight. It seems we've had a bit of time in here that determining how solid the sides are would give us a good idea.

GM: Good question. To keep things simple, let's assume each bubble is 2" (4 meters) high. The idea is that you see these guys coming so I may also have to increase their heights if you wouldn't be able to see them. As far as consistency goes, the bubbles are a lot like tents though they have the feel of a living membrane. It could be that you would fall right through, or they might be able to support your weight would not be very stable platforms. Your experiments thus far indicate that they are tough, but no one has yet tried punching through one.
