GREEN KNIGHT: *Iron Duke, White Lady, do you want to go to the other end of the hall and come in from that direction?*

VIOLET DUCHESS (GM): Can you describe the scene in more detail? I'm most interested in knowing more about the trigger and the leader. Is the trigger a remote control device or is it connected to something? Does it have many moving parts to it or simply a black box with a button? Is there anything else in the room that appears to be the bomb?

GM: The leader is sitting at the desk and there is a black box in front of him that looks like some sort of electronic device. It fits with Violet Duchess' image of a bomb triggering device. What she is not sure of is whether that device itself is the bomb, whether it is connected to a bomb under the desk by wires, or whether it will wirelessly trigger a remote device (though she does not see an antenna). She sees nothing else in the room that looks like a bomb.

IRON DUKE: One question -- is the ceiling solid or suspended? If it's a suspended ceiling I'll mentally lift a panel to see how much space is available above it.

GM: This building, like many in (my version of) New York, are of gothic style. Thus, the ceilings are solid.

GREEN KNIGHT: Green Knight eases the door open just far enough for Indigo Baron and Violet Duchess to slip through when they reach it.

TECH: 32 point MP, 25 points in Strength of the Bear and 6 points in Speed of the Wolf. He vaguely resembles a 9 foot tall, sleek brown bear.

TECH: Open door quietly and slowly.

INDIGO BARON: IB will get as close to the terrorists as he can, keeping to whatever cover he can. When it comes to making a move, he’ll choose caution over position.

PHASE 3

Indigo Baron and Violet Duchess move up to the door that Green Knight holding slightly open.

White Lady and Iron Duke move at non-combat speed towards the other end of the hall to come at the leader from both directions.

PHASE 5-6

Indigo Baron and Violet Duchess move into the are and up to the corner. From there, they can see four terrorists. One of them is sitting at a desk and looks to have his hand on some sort of trigger but has not yet activated it. The other terrorists are looking around in all directions. The one looking towards Violet Duchess and Indigo Baron did not appear to see the diminuative hero as he flew up near the ceiling and over to the corner. And, of course, the terrorists apparently have no way to discern the invisble mentalist.

White Lady and Iron Duke continue moving down the hall.

PHASE 8

White Lady reaches the door and eases it open slightly. According to what she remembers of the plans, if the terrorists are where Violet Duchess thinks they are, then they should have no direct line of sight on this door.

PHASE 9

Iron Duke Reaches the door.

GM: Let me know what Violet Duchess and Indigo Baron are going to do on phase 9. It's pretty clear to both that if the lead terrorist has any indication that the Legion has arrived, he will activate the trigger. Indigo Baron knows that he can probably get a lot closer by flying near the floor and keeping the conference table between him and the terrorists. The bookcases behind the terrorist do not extend to the ceiling so he can probably get all the way there in a couple more phases.

Moving at half speed so as to increase his chances of not being seein, Indigo Baron stays low and flies over to the table.

GM: Go ahead and send me a Stealth roll. I know you don't have the skill so, in this case, you want and 8 or less. The good news is that, if you fail, your small size inflicts a -6 to the terrorist's chance of seeing you (and another -4 for range).

Suddenly the groups hears the distant sound of gunfire and, over the SWAT band, they hear, "Terrorist in room 61. Engaging."

Almost immediately thereafter, another voice comes over the SWAT radio and says, "Terrorist near room 11. Engaging."

VIOLET DUCHESS (OOC): Okay, I'm going to send in this turn with a couple of assumptions since I don't want to hold up this game any longer. I'm going to assume that the black box is not obviously attached/anchored to the table and that instead it can move around. If this is not the case to VD's point of view then I'll need to change my illusion some.

VIOLET DUCHESS: Quietly Violet Duchess informed the others of her plan. *Leader has the trigger in his hands. I'm going to give him the false sense that it has slipped out of his hands and onto the floor. Once he reacts to this, we'll only have a short moment to act. Indigo Baron, you'll need to swoop in and keep any of the terrorists from grabbing the trigger. The rest of you should storm in at the same time to draw their attention away from Indigo Baron and the bomb trigger. Questions? Ready?*

VIOLET DUCHESS: Assuming none of her teammates interrupt the mentalist, she'll focus on the leader's mind. She'll plant a new mental view of the room. As the sounds of gunfire can be heard from the hallways, the black box accidentally slips out of the leader's hands and falls off the other side of the desk. In order to see it he'll have to scramble to the other side of the desk, where he'll find it lying on the floor unharmed.

GM: The black box is actually on the table.  It is not in his hands.  The actual triggering device seems to be a plunger switch (basically a button that sticks up from the black box).  The leader's hand is hovering close to the switch.  The box is about a foot square and about half that high.

GM: The other thing to consider is timing.  Indigo Baron is still a full move and a half move away from the switch so if the attack somehow raised the suspicions of the other terrorists, he could not do anything to prevent them from triggering the device until turn 5, phase 3.  You might want to consider waiting to attack until he is in position.

VIOLET DUCHESS (GM): Good to know. I'll hold my 9 and 12 actions. I suspect I will not act until 2 in turn 5 since if I miss with one of my attacks, they could react before we can deal with it. I'll take the road of caution.

PHASE 10

Green Knight and White Lady hold their actions.

Over the SWAT radio, a voice suddenly exclaims. *Man down in room 11! Shooter somewhere outside!*

GM: Let me know if anyone is going to respond to this.

PHASE 12

Indigo Baron zips along the floor behind the table. He comes out of the cover of the table briefly before reaching the cover of some file cabinets directly behind the terrorists.

GM: This was a full move. Indigo Baron is about 5" from the bomb/trigger. The terrorists do not appear to have noticed him.

GM: Go ahead and send me your actions for Turn 5, Phase 3. Also let me know if anyone is going to respond to the information that just came over the radio.
