IANNA (OOC): They are definitely alien class of minds. However, I would stick with paralysis for now. It's working as you haven't missed yet with it and it seems to be keeping them paralyzed for the entire battle. You may have as much success with your mental blast but I doubt it'll take out an opponent each time like paralysis is doing.

JACK: Jack is hammered repeatedly by their energy rods, noticing that their attacks seem to be hitting harder and harder. HIs energy field was always a little weaker against energy attacks, and these things seemed determined to bring him down by sheer numbers. They slam his shield ignoring most of its flashes until finally it flares brighter than ever, just as he wobbles and falls, dropping the pod he was carrying.

JACK (OOC): I take it two or three of them hit by more than half or something? Ouch. Jack takes 11, 11, 12, and 9 stun, for a total of 43, and goes unconscious. I have been failing to roll for the damage shield though, so maybe this will slow down their attacks on the others.

JACK TECH: [rolled 3 5 - Total: 8, Body: 2] Explosive flash, it loses dice fairly slowly as it expands because of the multiple advantages on the power, I believe it loses 1d6/6", but at least it loses the highest ones first.


GM: The bugs are unaffected by the flash.

DEX 23 - Heeding Ianna's advice, Marco uses his Mental Paralysis on another bug, freezing it in place.

DEX 20 - Shooter fires a frag grenade. The frag grenade kills all of the bugs that were attacking Shooter. It also kills a bug that was attacking Tal and wounds the others. Tal's Force Field protects him from the blast. Isobella and Dasan are also in the blast radius but are completely protected by their armor. The back blast also catches Shooter but he too is protected by his force field.

GM: 18 of the 32 bugs are either dead, dying or paralyzed. 4 others are still active but bleeding 3d6 per phase. That leaves 10 bugs that are still fully functional and uninjured.
