Rule Name:License - Starship Engineer
There are two types of Starship Engineering licenses; a commercial license and a private license. To get a job as a starship engineer, the character must have a commercial license. A private license is sufficient to work on a private spacecraft owned (in whole or in part) by the prospective licensee.

The test is in four parts; FTL Drives, Auxiliary Mechanical Systems, Auxiliary Electronic Systems and Engineering Theory. To pass a section, the player must make 20 rolls for each section, using Starship Engineering skill for the first section, Mechanics skill for the second section and Electronics skill for the third section. For the engineering theory section, the character must choose one of the following elective tests:

Electrical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Nuclear Physics
Physics
Subatomic Physics

Roll 12 times for the chosen test, plus 2 times for each of the other four sciences that were not chosen (20 rolls total).

If the testee does not have a two point transport familiarity with Starships, then they will not pass the test.
