Rule Name:License - Gunnery Officer
To get a job as a Gunnery Officer, the character must have a commercial license. He must also be licensed as a Ship's Gunner.

The test is in three parts; Gun Maintenance-Rockets, Gun Maintenance-Energy and Shield Maintenance. If the testee does not have a two transport point familiarity with Starships, then they will not pass the test.

To pass the three sections, the player must make 20 rolls for each section, using Weaponsmith-Rockets skill, Weaponsmith-Energy skill and Weaponsmith-Energy Shields respectively.

The cost of the test is Cr400. The cost for a commercial license is Cr2000.

If the test is failed, it may not be taken again for one month and the test cost goes up to Cr1000. If you wait six months to take the test again, then the cost drops back to normal.

There is no equivalent of a private license for this job. Private spaceships are not required to have a gunnery officer. Commercial ships that are armed with ship-to-ship weapons are required to have a gunnery officer.
